Margherita Pizza
Making homemade pizza is easy with our simple, delicious Margherita Pizza recipe. This 4‑ingredient pizza dough is quick to prepare and perfect for beginners. Topped with classic tomato sauce, fresh basil and creamy mozzarella, this authentic Italian‑style Margherita is always a crowd‑pleaser. Each dough ball creates the ideal personal pizza, and you can scale the recipe effortlessly so everyone gets their own freshly baked pizza.

Preheat your oven to 230°C/210°C fan and put a baking tray in the oven to get hot.

In a large mixing bowl, mix all dough ingredients together using your hands. Once combined, knead until smooth and no longer sticky. It should be quite sticky at first but the more you work it together, the less sticky it will become and should turn into a smooth ball of dough.

Leave covered for around 30 minutes, or up to a few hours if you are not ready to cook your pizza yet.

Roll out your dough on floured greaseproof paper. Spread the pesto over and scatter the basil leaves on top. Cover with your grated mozzarella.

Slide onto a tray and transfer to the hot tray in the oven. Cook for 10-12 minutes.

125g extra strong white bread flour

1 tbsp Mellow Yellow cold pressed rapeseed oil

75ml tepid water

80g mozzarella, grated
